TimeBaQ is a tool for your job search. It is not a tool for spamming job sites, defrauding employers, or pretending to be someone you’re not.
I. Scope
This policy applies to anyone using the TimeBaQ desktop app under any tier — free, paid, or trial. Violations may result in immediate license revocation, with no refund and no further sales to the same person.
II. Doing any of these kills your license
License sharing
- Sharing your license key with another person, your sibling, your cousin, your study group, or strangers on Reddit.
- Running TimeBaQ on more machines than your tier allows.
- Reselling, sublicensing, or distributing keys.
Misrepresentation in applications
- Using TimeBaQ to apply to jobs as someone other than yourself. Fake names, fake degrees, fake employment history.
- Auto-applying with a résumé you have no right to use (e.g. lifted from someone else’s LinkedIn).
- Falsifying eligibility-to-work or sponsorship answers in the Q&A library.
Abuse of job platforms
- Setting daily caps above the safe defaults to spam a single employer with dozens of identical applications.
- Submitting to the same listing repeatedly to game ranking algorithms.
- Using TimeBaQ to operate a paid “apply for me” service on behalf of other job seekers. That’s a different product; reach out and we’ll talk about a partner plan.
Reverse-engineering & tampering
- Decompiling, disassembling, or modifying the desktop app binary.
- Spoofing or bypassing the license-server ping.
- Patching CAPTCHA-solver requests through a different provider to use ours for free.
Payment fraud
- Filing a chargeback without first emailing us. We’ve never said no to a refund inside the 14-day window.
- Repeated chargebacks across multiple accounts.
III. What's fine
- Running TimeBaQ on your personal laptop and your work laptop (on Pro or Power, which allow multiple machines).
- Helping your spouse set up their own TimeBaQ install with their own license key.
- Pausing your subscription during a job-search break and reactivating later — the founder lock stays.
- Disagreeing with us publicly. A negative review is not a violation.
- Asking for a refund for any reason, inside 14 days. We mean it.
IV. How we enforce
We don’t read your data — we can’t, it’s on your machine. The signals we use:
- License-ping anomalies. If your key checks in from fourteen cities in fourteen hours, that’s a clear sign of sharing.
- Platform-side complaints. If LinkedIn or Indeed flags us about a specific account abusing their system, and that account ties back to a TimeBaQ key, we investigate.
- Stripe-side fraud signals. Repeated chargebacks, payment-card velocity, etc.
When we revoke a license, the app falls back to free-tier behavior immediately. We email the account holder with the reason within 24h.
V. Appeals
If you think a revocation was a mistake, email support@timebaq.app with “Appeal” in the subject. A real person reviews every appeal. If we made the wrong call, we’ll restore the key and refund any pro-rated charges.
