Required reading under the FTC’s “Click-to-Cancel” rule. The whole document is short on purpose.
I. How auto-renewal works
- When you subscribe to Starter, Pro, or Power, your card is charged on the date of subscription.
- The subscription renews automatically every 30 days at the rate you signed up at, until you cancel.
- Renewals are charged to the payment method on file. You’ll receive an email receipt for every successful renewal.
- If a renewal fails, we retry once after 3 days, then pause your subscription — the app falls back to free-tier behavior until you update billing.
- Founder-pricing customers renew at the founder rate, not the rate-card rate, for as long as the subscription stays active.
II. How to cancel
The same number of clicks as it took to subscribe. From inside the TimeBaQ desktop app:
- Open the app. Top-right menu → Account.
- Click Cancel subscription. Confirm. Done.
No retention call. No exit survey gate. No “wait, try this discount” pop-up. You may also email support@timebaq.app with the subject “Cancel” from the email on your account — we’ll process within 1 business day.
III. After cancellation
- Your subscription runs through the end of the current billing period you’ve already paid for.
- On the next renewal date, the app falls back to free-tier behavior — 25 applications/month, single machine, no analytics export.
- Your local data stays on your machine. Résumés, Q&A library, application history — all of it. We can’t see it; we can’t delete it.
- Our server account record is auto-deleted 30 days after cancellation, unless you ask us to delete sooner. See privacy →
- Founder rate. Cancelling resets your founder lock. If you re-subscribe later, you re-subscribe at the then-current rate — unless there’s still a founder spot open on your tier.
IV. Price & tier changes
We’ll email active subscribers at least 30 days before any price increase. If you don’t agree to the new rate, cancel inside that window for a pro-rated refund. Founder-priced subscriptions are not subject to price increases on the founder rate.
You can upgrade or downgrade between tiers any time. Upgrades take effect immediately and are pro-rated; downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
V. Refunds
See the refund policy →. Short version: 14 days, no questions asked, on the first invoice and on every upgrade. After day 15, refunds are at our discretion.
