III. Questions · the ones we get most
What does "founder pricing locked for life" actually mean?
If you sign up while the founder window is open, the price you pay is the price you keep — for as long as you keep the app, across renewals, upgrades to add-ons, and any future price increases. If we raise the rate-card for Pro to $34.99 in 2027, you still pay $19.99. Cancel any time and the lock-in resets.
What happens if I hit the monthly cap?
Applications stop submitting and TimeBaQ shows a banner. You can wait for the reset on the first of the month, or upgrade in two clicks — the new cap takes effect immediately and the upgrade is pro-rated for the partial month.
Is there a free trial of the paid tiers?
No trial — the free tier is the trial. You get 25 applications a month forever on one platform of your choice, 10 AI cover letters a month, a 50-entry Q&A library, and CAPTCHA solving. If that doesn’t convince you the tool works, a 7-day trial wouldn’t either.
How does the refund work?
14 days, no questions asked — one refund per customer per 12 months. Email
support@timebaq.app with your license key. We process the refund through Stripe within one business day; the credit then posts to the original card in 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
Full refund policy → Where does my data live?
On your machine. The desktop app runs natively (Tauri), every application, every résumé, every saved screening answer is stored in a local SQLite database under your user profile. Nothing syncs to a cloud we control. Your license key checks against our server once a day — nothing else.
What kills my license?
Sharing the key, automating job-site abuse beyond your daily cap, or chargeback fraud. Everything else — even running TimeBaQ on a personal and work machine on the Power tier — is fine.
Acceptable-use details → Can I cancel any time?
Two clicks inside the app. No retention call, no “are you sure?” pop-up, no “wait, try this discount”. Your data stays on your machine after cancellation — only the auto-apply feature gates behind the paywall.
How does the annual plan work?
Annual billing applies to the public rate card — $149/yr Starter, $299/yr Pro, $499/yr Power — charged once, then renewed once a year. That’s roughly two months free compared to paying month-to-month at the rate-card price. Founder pricing is monthly-only: the first 100 on each tier lock in their discount on a monthly cadence, and the cost-per-month at founder rates is already lower than the annual-billed-monthly equivalent. The 14-day refund window still applies after the annual charge.
